DNA test colour genetics – Bosse

Veilabakkens Like a Rolling Stone – DNA results

ay/ay =
The ”ay” gene produces a coat color that can range from a light fawn to darker red to a sable. A dog that has two copies of the ”ay” allele will always pass on that ”ay” allele, will always produce fawn/sable pups.

It means he do not carry the gene for Black n Tan.

E/E =
The dog carries two copies of the dominant E allele. The dog will produce normal black pigmentation, and will always pass on the ”E” allele to any potential offspring.

D/D =
The dog carries two copies of the dominant ”D” allele. The dog will express a normal, non-dilute coat color and will always pass on a copy of the ”D” allele to all offspring.

He do not carry the blue gene.

B/B =
The dog carries two copies of the dominant B allele. The dog will express black pigment rather than chocolate, and will always pass on the ”B” allele to any potential offspring.

He do not carry the gene for liver/brown.

kbr/ky =
Brindle with red/fawn. Dominant Redbrindel according to the analysis.

He will not inherit liver colour, He will not inherit Black n Tan and he will not inherit the blue colour to any offsprings.
He will pass (Dominant) red coat, black brindle coat, dark pigmentation nose and eyes, white markings.
